5 Ways to Rediscover Your Joy

Joy isn’t something we find all at once. Sometimes we rediscover it one small moment at a time.”

Founder’s Reflection

There are seasons in life when joy seems easy to find. A child’s laughter. A family celebration. A dream coming true. The simple peace of watching the sunset. Then there are seasons that feel very different. Grief. Disappointment. Loneliness. Illness. Financial struggles. Dreams that didn’t unfold the way we hoped. During those seasons, joy can begin to feel like something meant for everyone else. If you’ve ever felt that way… I want you to know something. You’re not alone. And while I can’t promise life will suddenly become easier, I do believe joy has a remarkable way of finding us again. Sometimes we simply need to help our hearts remember where to look.

You simply need permission to create.

1. Begin With One Small Reason to Be Grateful

When life feels overwhelming, gratitude can seem impossible. Don’t search for one hundred blessings. Look for one. A warm cup of coffee. A phone call from someone who cares. The sound of rain. A place to rest. A sunrise. One blessing is enough to begin. Joy often grows where gratitude is planted.

2. Create Something Without Judging It

Children don’t worry if their drawings are good enough.

They simply enjoy creating.

Paint.

Color.

Bake.

Garden.

Take photographs.

Write.

Sing.

Build something.

Create because it brings life back into your spirit—not because it has to be perfect. Sometimes our greatest healing happens while our hands are busy

3. Step Outside and Notice the Beauty Around You

Nature has a quiet way of reminding us that every season changes.

Trees bloom again.

Flowers return.

Storms eventually pass.

Take a walk.

Watch the clouds.

Listen to birds.

Feel the warmth of the sun. The world is constantly whispering that new beginnings are possible.

4. Share Kindness With Someone Else

One of the quickest ways to rediscover hope is to become part of someone else’s. Write a note. Volunteer. Call a friend. Smile at a stranger. Deliver a meal. Hold a door. Offer encouragement. When we lift someone else, we often discover our own hearts becoming lighter.

5. Give Yourself Permission to Begin Again

Perhaps this is the most important one. Life doesn’t require us to have everything figured out today. You don’t have to solve every problem. You don’t have to carry yesterday forever. You don’t have to know exactly where the road leads. Sometimes courage simply looks like taking one more step. Then another. And another. Eventually you realize… You aren’t standing where you used to be.

There Is Light Ahead

Life has a way of surprising us. Sometimes we walk through seasons that feel like long tunnels. Dark. Uncertain. Quiet. It’s easy to believe the darkness is permanent. But tunnels have something in common. They always lead somewhere. The light may seem distant today. You may only see a faint glow. But every step forward brings you closer to it. So if today feels difficult… Keep walking. Keep believing. Keep creating. Keep loving. Keep hoping. Because joy isn’t waiting for you at the finish line. It begins returning the moment you decide not to stop moving forward. And I believe with all my heart… Your story still has beautiful chapters left to be written. With creativity and hope,
